A world based on trust, love and goodwill. A world where education is the heartbeat of the culture - education based on self-reflection, where we seek our own answers. Small communities working for the good of each other, interconnected to other small communities doing likewise. In this world, we have a radically different money system - where usury / interest is banished - and growth occurs through increased goodwill exchange rather than through a perpetually increasing money supply based on debt. In this world creativity and artistic expression is valued as highly as every other form of community service. My vision for the world is a return to the honouring of Mother Earth, and learning from her wisdom. In this world, there is no great disparity between rich and poor, because the corrupt money system that supports that has been outlawed and true prosperity is allowed to flourish because it comes up from the roots of sustainable communtiies. The world I envision is a sustainable world, where we use onlt renewable energy sources and we take only what we need from the world. Love is the basis of wisdom in the world I envision and love includes and embraces every member of the community.

Great. Yes I heard about that session, in fact Seinde mentioned it on the Vision Shack program I had the honour of presenting. I am pleased that those potential members are going to join World family here as Seinde is often present, helping things move along. I remember the Healthy Concert event distinctly, partly because it was my first and I was impressed by the standards of musicianship and partly because of the Telegraph article that followed.
I am in the process of doing 3 things, in the medium term, putting together a proposed seminar for young farmers, at college or just starting out, and others who are concerned with the issues that you clearly need no introduction to having spent so much time with Seinde. Any contacts you have, or information other than that which Seinde has kindly posted (under the last thread on his page) and I am in process of studying would be most welcome.
In addition to this I am planning various events within Healthy Concerts, the first with Esther Bertram as the 3rd in her series of 3 in which I am going to do something, as yet not fully defined, in relation to the self which deals with the world in general, but we have no date for this as yet. The 3rd and most urgent for me personally is my next Vision Shack program on RadioReverb (details on my page) which is on the parallel subject of making international connections in order to achieve the visions held by people truly living in the 21st century. Again, any contacts relevant to this would be most welcome.
The first Vision Shack is going to be a hard act to follow - I have a couple of people involved one at an academic (but realistic) level with a project in Bangalore and one who has just started a sustainable business in timber-framed double-glazed windows made in Romania, paying extra dividends back to NGOs there and a source for further World Vision in action projects. Again, any contacts you have will be most welcome. this program has not been scheduled yet but I imagine will be going out live during the first 2 weeks of December.
Regards,
Louis Loizou.

Welcome John. Your vision is one shared by many, including myself, and local living with global awareness is, of course, at the root of World family as initiated by Dr.Makuanjole Olaseinde Arigbede. I am not sure if you have heard him speak, but there are two recordings of him, one which was broadcast live on RadioReverb on 8th November and repeated today, available in an edited form on my profile, and a Video made by Moving Sounds the night before Seinde left for home in Nigeria.
There is another connection you might wish to make which is Nathaniel White who is involved in the study of ecovillages and you can see his work on: http://Villagejourney.blogspot.com/
and possibly answer a survey to assist him in his research towards forming such a village in the south about how you envisage an ecovillage. Although this is not a central plank of World Family, which is currently focussed on Food Sovereignty and Participatory Development world-wide it is certainly related.

Hi John, welcome to WorldFamily. Great vision. If you have not seen the film Garbage Warrior yet, that might be the solution to building eco dwellings - really exciting: everything used: old tyres, plastic and glass bottles and the newer versions are beautiful and all inclusive of heating and cooling systems (all natural), a water supply, a sewage system which fertilizes the plants etc etc. Oliver, the film maker and Mike the inventor are both up for making the technology and the dvds available asap to communities and individuals who want to do the work themselves. love, Jocelyn
