- My Vision:
I dream of a world in which according to King M.L. 1983:17, every individual is alive only when she/he has been able to rise above the narrow confines of their individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
As a young person who has chosen to define for herself a vocation as a change agent on the side of the smallholder farmers on whose shoulders the burden of food security rests. I envision the day when a Transformatory Vocational Commitment will be nurtured in a new generation of young activists. These upcoming set of activists will be better positioned to make long range and meaningful impact on the lives of those they have chosen to accompany by awakening the peoples consciousness to their position in the scheme of things so they become better able to critically analyse and develop appropriate actions………“all who have meditated on the art of governing (hu-)mankind have been convinced that the fate of empires depends on the education of youth”, (Aristotle).

Something I may be asking your Mother and your sisters and yourself is the position and importance of women in the transformation of our deformed planet back into the paradise it was intended to be, for I have learned, not just from Seinde but from my life and my mentor that women hold the values for any culture or civilisation, despite the fact that men tend to make a lot of noise about it.
The next Vision Shack program will be on the subject of participatory Development, and I have written a little and will probably write more about it in this group. I think all the links are on my page.
However, the role of women, Seinde's famous drawing he commissioned of the typical Nigerian woman, and all the issues surrounding our sisters in the world will most certainly be the subject of a future program.
