Welcome Andrew. It was a pleasure meeting you and hearing your wisdom. The words in your vision statement echo those of my guests on the program broadcast today so closely it does give me hope.
I will be uploading as much of the program as I can to my profile page in the next day or two.
I am very interested in the concept of elders, but cannot make it to the meeting you gave me a flier for. However, both in the context of the Global issues and the radio program Vision Shack I feel sure we will meet and exchange more directly in the future.

Hi Andrew,
Great to see your vision for the world. Very inspiring and easy to agree with. I was sorry to miss your workshop and very happy it went well. Prior commitments + a cold decided me to stay local.
I don't know if you can get down for tomorrow evening's meeting, but if you can your contribution will be much valued. We will be focusing on next steps and planning out the whole timetable, creative inputs, funding needs etc.
Love and blessings, Jocelyn

what is your vision for the world?
We the ordinary people of the world, wanting global eco-social wellbeing, are in the majority. We can feel and establish our solidarity all over the world, and work globally, helping inspire and support each other-- and live joyfully and adventurously. We need to imagine and create global wisdom and wise global self governance. This is not replacing nations, but containing their innate tendencies to compete and exploit every ecosystem. We can do this. We can choose to act as global elders-- with L-plates on-- learning to nurture the wellbeing of the sacred whole. We actually need to invent a whole post-material culture-- and work out how to nurture wellbeing directly, not because materialism is evil, but because we can't afford to kill off the fragile earth. We are one family. We need global ideas, strategies and structures to build and protect global unity.
About Me:
I am a writer, community education and development person. I have a particular interest in suicide prevention, and ran an award-winning youth suicide project in a rural community in Australia. I love working with different communities, and have worked in Australia with some Aboriginal communities, teaching building skills and organising housing, etc. I love sailing, and sailed my little boat down the Danube and the Black sea to Istanbul. Next year, when I finish writing this latest book, Global Wisdom; Global Wellbeing, I want to sail around the world, and then run workshops on this in lots of countries. I just ran the first workshop in London 15th of December 07 and people seemed to really find it useful!!! so I am feeling good!!

What are the creative skills that you feel you have or would like to develop.
I like helping people and groups develop exciting ideas and working out how to make them really work well and be fun as well as worthwhile.
